BACKSCHOOL RULES!!!

BACKSCHOOL RULES!!!

Now starting my second year at Innovate Academy and I have to say, being a teacher rocks!

My students are grades 6-8 and will launch their own business using the BossClub.com curriculum.

I'm also mentoring a handful of youth in grassroots community development, gaining momentum in important initiatives by making pitches, press releases, events, and more.

A few of my class rules:

  • No hand raising, learn to read the conversation and interject appropriately.

  • Take copious notes, you can always reference them on tests (no required memorization).

  • Grades matter far less than learning, effort is rewarded.

  • Instant, frequent feedback, in front of everyone. Grow thick skin, you'll need it in the real world.

  • Employ gamification including points, a leaderboard, and prizes including recognition, cash, and a plaque.

  • If you need to get up and move, do it, just don't be obnoxious.

  • If you're obnoxious you're out for the day, no warnings and you make up the work on your own time.

  • Making money is great, honoring God as a wise steward of what He’s given you is far better.
