BACKSCHOOL RULES!!!
Now starting my second year at Innovate Academy and I have to say, being a teacher rocks!
My students are grades 6-8 and will launch their own business using the BossClub.com curriculum.
I'm also mentoring a handful of youth in grassroots community development, gaining momentum in important initiatives by making pitches, press releases, events, and more.
A few of my class rules:
No hand raising, learn to read the conversation and interject appropriately.
Take copious notes, you can always reference them on tests (no required memorization).
Grades matter far less than learning, effort is rewarded.
Instant, frequent feedback, in front of everyone. Grow thick skin, you'll need it in the real world.
Employ gamification including points, a leaderboard, and prizes including recognition, cash, and a plaque.
If you need to get up and move, do it, just don't be obnoxious.
If you're obnoxious you're out for the day, no warnings and you make up the work on your own time.
Making money is great, honoring God as a wise steward of what He’s given you is far better.
